DJ Andy Smiths Rockin Soul Bop'
DJ Andy Smith having compiled many a top notch mix CD (including 'Andy Smith's Northern Soul' & The 'Trojan Document') as well as supplying original sample material for Portishead & The Prodigy opens up his stack of Jump Blues, Rockabilly, Northern Soul & Ska 45's to shake up the Bloomsbury bowling lanes every Friday. Expect to be jumping as your aiming those bowling balls for another strike! - Andy will also be inviting select guest DJ's and bands to add extra sparkle to the night'.
SATURDAY NIGHTS (excluding 1st and 3rd Sat of each month)
13th June - 'Le Disco Exquise'
An eclectic mix of music will be played, including Electro, Glam, 80s, pop and the odd bit of well loved Motown. Bands include: Talking Heads, B52s, New Young Pony Club, Klaxons, Hot Chip, Duran Duran, The Smiths, Gwen Stefani, T-Rex, Eurythmics, Human League, Gary Numan, Kinks, The Jackson 5, The Jam, The Beatles, Pixies, David Bowie, Suede, Kate Bush, CSS, Midnight Juggernauts, Madonna, Blondie, Kaiser Chiefs, Beck, Diana Ross and the Supremes, MGMT, New Order, Tilly and the Wall, Robyn, Rolling Stones, Britney Spears, REM, The Clash, The Police, Wham! We currently have six DJs who are working for us. There will be 3 regular djs on rotation- Bergerac, Loquita and Alexander Silver Hammer + guest DJs.
27th June - Retro Remix
Retro Remix is all about mashing up, remixing and re-editing the best styles and sounds from 50s Americana through to the modern day.Set in the West End's coolest nightspot, with 1950s themed bowling lanes, private karaoke rooms, a delicious American Diner, cute cinema, table football, hot-tub... and of course live music and dancing!
