Metcard has an initial minimum membership period of 12 months (unless specifically indicated otherwise in an offer) and operates on an annual membership basis.
Members must inform us if they change their correspondence postal or email address.

Membership cards will only be valid when presented by the named card holder.

Metcard registered members (“Members”) are entitled to complimentary entry into the venues and events listed on the Metcard website. Members may also be entitled to reduced entry to other venues and events listed on the website from time to time where specified.

Members must state that they are a Metcard member and present a valid membership card at the venue / event to gain free entry. Members who do not present a valid membership card will be charged the relevant entry fee by venues.

Although Metcard works in good-faith with venues and event organisers to
offer free entry into specified venues and events, Metcard are not
responsible for any admissions related problems or issues you may
experience. Metcard there of, do not guarantee entry or free entry into any
establishments. Venues and event organisers have their own policies for
entry which supersede the terms of your Metcard membership. Terms of
admission may also change at the sole discretion of any participating venues
or event. As such venues and event organisers reserve the right to refuse
entry to any member of the public or Metcard member for various reasons
including but not limited to: having reached full capacity, being drunk or
intoxicated, Being under the legal age for entry, being dressed
inappropriately, being part of a large all male group and arriving after the
latest entry time. Metcard are not responsible for any inconvenience that
may ensue, if you are denied access for any reason, including but not
limited to the above mentioned. Please ensure that you follow all club and
event rules and conditions of entry as stated on the Metcard website. In the
event that a venue or event has reached maximum capacity, due to licensing
and health and safety regulations, patrons, including Metcard members may be
admitted entry on a ‘one in, one out, first come first served’ bases. Free entry may not be available during certain periods such as bank holidays, Christmas and New Years.

Metcard memberships are non-transferrable and Members must under no circumstances ever pass their membership details or membership onto other persons as this is a fraudulent act. Metcard members deemed to have passed on their membership details or membership card to another person will immediately have their membership cancelled. Cancelled memberships are non-refundable. Individuals found to be using a stolen, lost or borrowed membership are committing a fraudulent and illegal act and will be reported to the authorities. Metcards remain the property of Metcard at all times.

Please ensure that your Metcard is kept securely at all times. Lost or stolen cards should be reported to Metcard immediately. Members may apply to Metcard for a replacement card for which Metcard will charge an administration fee of £16. Replacement cards will be issued at Metcard’s discretion.

From time to time Metcard may offer 'Trial member' cards with specific conditions and limitations including, by way of example, the duration of the trial. These terms and conditions, except clause 1 will apply to any Trial Membership.

The Metcard website contains pages with the definitive guide to current offers. Members recognise that some venues or events may leave the scheme at anytime without notice, whilst others will join. Some venues and events may also change the conditions of their offer after you have become a member and we shall have no responsibility for any such changes by venues and events. Printed information, by their nature, will include information that may not be current and members accept that they may not rely on printed materials. For the avoidance of doubt, the full value or any part of the value of the membership will not be refunded if any of the venues or events are no longer available, have changed their offer or have been replaced by other venues or events.

You have the right to cancel your membership within 14 days of purchasing. To cancel your membership within 14 days you must contact Metcard by telephone and return your membership card as instructed by Metcard customer services. You will be entitled to a refund of your membership, upon return of your membership card, less a pro rata charge for the period of cover and our administration charge (£16). If you wish to cancel your membership after 14 days and subject to any other statutory rights you may have, we will not be obliged to give refunds for any unused portion of your membership.

Neither Metcard nor any group company shall be liable under any circumstances for the use or misuse of the Metcard scheme. Metcard shall not be liable for any damages or losses of any nature whatsoever arising out of this agreement.

These Terms and Conditions, and any agreement entered into in connection with the same, shall be interpreted in accordance with the English law and subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts. |
